The number of remote jobs is increasing in every industry as this work arrangement is beneficial for both the company and the employee.

According to a report by Global Workplace Analytics, 4.3 million employees are working from home at least half the time.

The newest benefit of potential job candidates want in their future position is simple — flexibility.

Millennials, in particular, are interested in finding a remote position after they graduate. A survey by AfterCollege showed that 68 percent of millennial job seekers said an option to work remotely would greatly increase their interest in specific employers.

The most high-paying remote positions were originally created in tech space, like programming, but other industries are jumping on board with this remote-work trend. Here are some examples:

HR Specialist

As a recruiter, your job is to bring in the best candidates for your client’s job openings. Couldn’t you do so much better if you didn’t have to report to a centralized office every day?

As a remote recruiter, you have the ability to explore the world and talk with desirable candidates for your clients, expanding their prospect pool to include people outside of the geographic location.

Digital Marketing Specialist

Especially for young tech startups, employing remote marketers is a wise and often necessary route to take if they want to get their products in front of end consumers. For remote workers, this means plenty of regular work across multiple avenues.

Senior Business Analyst

As a Senior Business Analyst working for a tech company, your job has a few major responsibilities on the surface: make sure that everything is running smoothly, test for bugs in software, troubleshoot technical issues, and keep everything up to your customer’s standards.

The great news? You can get down to business from anywhere that you want with this remote job.

Getting a remote job can actually be great for testing your way into self-employment — seeing how well you’d manage your time, stay motivated and productive working from home or a co-working space.

Good luck getting those remote job applications out there!

What’s your remote work story? We would love to know!
