In this blog post, I will share some activities for camaraderie with your distant team members during COVID-19. In the blog, we’ll give you some examples of what you can do with remote team members to boost morale, help employees feel more connected, and build your team online.

Bringing your employees together for virtual team meetings and games is another team-building activity that can be done in person. To have your team participate in competitive online team-building activities contribute to building a virtual corporate culture and increase team spirit and team spirit. Like charades, graphic games can be either a team bonding exercise or a competitive activity for your remote employees.

Playing together will increase communication, motivate the team, and build a virtual corporate culture that is useful when it comes to doing things. You can even ask other team members to recommend activities that they believe can bring your team together effectively.

Jackbox Game Night

Jackbox Games are the best way possible, your team bonding activities are about to get wild. The developer of party video games, which have been entertaining players for over two decades, is Jackbox Games. If you feel secure about the internet connections of your fellow players, just jump on the video conferencing service (like Zoom or Google Hangouts). Start a game on your laptop and use the screen sharing feature to let the players you’re on a call see the game.

Virtual Board Game Night

Using a forum like the Board Game Arena or Tabletopia, you can play top board games online with your colleagues without having to meet up and break down best practices in social distancing. Hundreds of games are available between these two systems, including top choices such as Terra Mystica, Brass: Birmingham, Scythe, Wingspan, and 7 Wonders.

Two Truths and a Lie

Each team member makes three claims about themselves as the name suggests: two truths and one lie. Employees then take turns to consider what the truth is and what the lie is. Among the best ways to get the dialogue going is this exercise. Seeing workers make guesses is great fun and it’s also a helpful way to build effective team cohesion and affinity at the same time. For staff who guess correctly, you may have incentives.

Virtual Happy Hour

An online networking gathering, typically hosted on video meeting platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex is a virtual happy hour. Such simulated gatherings are similar to their non-virtual counterparts, usually involving online fun games, and drinks, and activities. Right now, virtual karaoke is all-the-rage if you just want to make your happy hour sound like a band. You can also spice up your meetings with a dedicated Spotify playlist for your squad to broadcast.

Guess the Emoji

We all have our favorite emoji/GIFs, thanks to WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, etc. They were traditionally limited to our personal interactions, but now in their conversations with teammates and co-workers, many employees use emojis to communicate their thoughts. It could have been a thumbs-up, a clap, or a plain smiley. Thus the game of guessing the emojis comes in!

Aliens Have Landed!

Break the staff into groups of 3 or 4. Tell everyone that aliens on Earth have landed and are interested in learning about your business. But the aliens don’t speak English, so you need to describe five symbols or pictures of the business to them. In order to come up with the five required photos, the groups need to speak among themselves. The five pictures that best represent the organization should be submitted by one group member.

Organize a Scavenger Hunt

Running out of thoughts about how remote workers should create camaraderie? Don’t ignore classic things like trapping for scavengers. ActionBound and GooseChase are two instruments that should be in your arsenal for virtual team building operations. Users embark on digitally immersive scavenger hunts with these smartphone apps. And since they track operations in real-time, they are ideal for fostering cooperation among distributed teams. During the search, the apps allow users to upload and use GPS coordinates, directions, photographs, and videos.

Pair Up Staff For Quizzes

For remote workers, QuizBreaker is an outstanding ice breaker. This service helps teams to learn new things about each other and improve contact between remote employees. By day, timing and frequency, you can customize quizzes, so this service is ideal for a company with an upcoming retreat or meeting in person.

Life Photo Challenge

You can host your team’s life photo contest. Each of your peers will be asked to share an image of something important to them in a nutshell. It could be a cat, a good book, a painting that was bought in Venice alongside the canals, etc. Your colleagues will then share the story behind their image and explain to them why it’s so meaningful.

Baby Photos

Ask members of your team to share a single childhood photograph. You can then use a shared Word document to compile all the files. All will view the document during a video chat and try to guess which team member in each of the photos is the kid.

Encourage your remote team to arrange a video conference one-on-one with the entire team. Make sure that such meetings are held regularly so that all members feel connected. Focus and create one that is open to them and gives the feeling that it is a way to “have fun” and “get together” while having fun!

We are all aware of what team building is why employee engagement is critical, and so on. It’s time to concentrate on making these factors part of our daily working culture. Lack of team-building activities implies a lack of opportunities to establish trust and cooperative relationships. It’s important to build a relaxed team culture on which your virtual teams can rely.
